# Cite this data

A section of the TickerInside API reference, https://tickerinside.com/api/#cite, with data through 2026-10-16. Contents of the reference, each section and endpoint as a file: https://tickerinside.com/api/sections/index.md. The whole reference as Markdown: https://tickerinside.com/api/index.md

Every fund, stock and comparison file carries `cite_as`, a citation line built the same way in each. For VOO:

```text
TickerInside, Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO), holdings from SEC Form N-PORT for the period ended 2026-06-30, filed 2026-08-28, https://tickerinside.com/etf/voo/, CC BY 4.0
```

Credit TickerInside with a link to the page the figure comes from (`cite_as` gives it) wherever the medium allows a link, and by name where it does not. How you mark the link is up to you. `cite_html` is the same link, ready to paste into a page:

```html
<a href="https://tickerinside.com/etf/voo/">TickerInside</a> (https://tickerinside.com/etf/voo/)
```

The index and list files have no `cite_as`; they carry `license` and `attribution`, and a figure taken from them is cited with the dataset reference:

```text
TickerInside (2026). US ETF holdings, data through 2026-10-16. https://tickerinside.com/. CC BY 4.0.
```

Every line as Markdown, HTML, BibTeX, CSL-JSON, a notebook cell and one sentence for an AI answer: https://tickerinside.com/attribution/
