## How are these flows measured?

Net creations and redemptions of each US ETF read daily from its issuer's files, in dollars, measured from the change in its holdings between two consecutive files: the value of what it bought less what it sold, and its own growth on its net assets. A flow is published when the two agree within 10%, as their mean; an ETF whose two measures disagree on a close (a rebalance or a corporate action) is not measured on it. Each flow is dated at the market close of the file whose holdings changed. Measurement, not investment advice. The ETFs read are the 623 read every weekday night from their issuers' own files (Global X, Invesco, SPDR, Vanguard, iShares); the Vanguard ETFs that are a share class of a mutual fund (VOO, VTI) are not counted, since their files hold the whole fund.
