What changed
The data behind this site is refetched every day and the pages are rebuilt from it. This page records what moved, so nothing here has to be taken on trust.
The data right now
Holdings files are published on each issuer's own schedule, which is daily for some funds and monthly for others, so the freshest and the oldest file in the set are usually weeks apart. Every page prints the date of the file it used rather than one date for the whole site.
Freshness by holdings-file date

Changes
The fund universe goes from 61 to 568
Five issuers now publish a machine readable catalogue of their own funds, and the engine reads it instead of a list maintained by hand. iShares, State Street, Invesco, Vanguard and Schwab together give 568 funds holding 17,125 distinct securities. A fund appears on the site only once it also has the price history behind its risk figures, so the published pages trail the data on purpose.
Every figure quoted in a written page is now bound to the data
A sentence that hardcoded an overlap of 56.2% became false the morning the issuer published a new file. The words are still written by a person, the numbers are read from the same computation the tables use, and the build fails rather than publishing a figure that no longer resolves.
Compare any two funds without leaving the page
The comparison index carries a builder over every covered fund. It computes overlap three ways, the correlation and the covariance in the browser, from the same files the API serves.
The site opens
Five written comparisons, the overlap checker, the portfolio x-ray, the free JSON API and the methods page.
